What's Hot
2 x Celestion G12H30 Anniversary Speakers in immaculate condition, 16ohm
£120 for the pair. These have had about 40-50 hours playtime at home in a 2061cx cab. The only amps I've used through them are a 2061x, Two Rock Studio Sig, and a SV20H, so they've always been run at safe levels.
Just added my Marshall 2x12 1936GD1, made in England. Absolutely lovely cab but is now surplus for my needs. It's only had around 6-8 hours of use. I don't have the rollers anymore.
Price £280 (only £40 more than a brand new pair of Greenbacks would cost your from Andertons) SOLDMorgan SOLD. These amps need no introduction, absolutely beautiful sounding on both channels and importantly at all volumes. It really is hard to get a bad sound out of this amp.
I spent nearly £100 through trial and error buying new current and NOS EF86's until I finally found one that behaved (it was the third Mullard I'd tried at that point). Now, both channels are running tip top.
The amp is in perfect working order and cosmetically I'd say 9.5/10.
I will likely regret this but I just miss having a Marshall, so downgrading (price-wise anyway) to a SV20.
Price £1350Collection from London N19, and I don't drive so sorry in advance to anyone hoping to meet halfway - if I could, I would.
Comments
Most importantly.....it's an early one properly hand made by Joe Morgan himself and NOT one of the later 'licensed production' ones that are made alongside Tone King and Friedman in the Builders Guild factory.
Anyone seeking some chime, buy this before I'm able to get to the capital.
It's the non-deluxe version, so no ef86 channel (and no vintage Mullard).
It's a newer, mass-produced model, not hand-made by Joe himself.
It comes with Celestion Creamback, rather than the Alnico gold.
It costs £200 more than this one...
