Replacing one fret

What's Hot
Is that a bad idea? Is it difficult to match (qualitatively) the remainder of the frets?

Looking at the pictures there seems to be quite a lot of height left on those threads. How about a fret dress instead of a replacement? If you replace you will need to do a partial fret dress anyway.

What @Roland says. Nowhere near bad enough to warrant replacing it. Lots of metal there.

Light dress and re-crowning should sort it.

Just need to find a trustworthy local guitar tech to do the work.

Yup, fret dress. I've had much worse in the past fixed with a fret dress

Just one other thing. Don't level the frets so the nick disappears totally. It does look like a nick and not play wear btw. When you crown the fret it will take the remainder of the nick out. No point taking metal off you don't have to.
