Hey everyone, I'm selling another guitar for a friend, its a 2011 PRS Swamp Ash Special, in excellent condition, Indian Rosewood fretboard, flamed maple neck, bird inlays. Pretty rare colour I believe, can't find many of them on google, might be a custom order(?), original PRS case included.
Not sure what to ask on this, my friend I'm selling for isn't sure either, so not sure if this allowed but we're open to offers.
Since I'm required to put a price I'm going to ask £1650
Ps, original knobs in the case.
Thanks for looking.

Ok, I'll just put a price up, no idea if it's any good though.

  • These and the NF3 might get shunned by a lot of PRS owners, but the NF pickups are fantastic. I which I'd kept mine. GLWS

Why would it get shunned? I have read great things about these pickups.

Best of luck to the guy selling.

errrmm... that's exactly what I said.  Have a read of the PRS forums, my Brent Mason gets the same treatment - no 10 top or private stock timbers, clearly not worthy.  :#

One of the nicest-looking PRS guitars I've seen.  I really don't like the fancy tops.   Doesn't look like it's lived in a case or on a wall either which is another plus.  GLWTS.

I've got a Brent Mason........probably the best guitar they ever made .......much better than a Grissom at everything.
I thought they were very sought after now .

I have a Brent Mason too, I agree it's the best thing they ever made, so Brilliant that a mate hunted one down and still has it, took him ages to find because they've eventually ended up with working players who won't sell them.  ...but if 10 Top & private stock are your thing, then a plain blue guitar that isn't shouting 'I cost thousands' doesn't cut it amongst many PRS owners. I left the PRS forum for that reason (and the cruel abuse that SE owners used to get... ffs, I've seen Joe Walsh playing SEs).

The difficulty was finding one that was a sensible weight .....as many were very heavy .Some of the natural Korina bodies were a bit more fancy but not much.
The PRS mindset is odd .....a lot of furniture collectors .Funny, I deal with joinery workshops every day and a nice piece of fiddleback book-matched veneer the size of a guitar costs about £80 !
The plain painted finish of this guitar is exactly what makes it so purposeful and lovely ......all the money is in the engineering and the sound . Good colour too !

I wouldn’t argue with a word of that Dominic, I remember you looking for one. Mine is going nowhere although my first choice would have been a rosewood board. I’m so attached to it, the Mrs even had a ‘mini me’ made for Christmas a few years ago.

    You're better looking than I expected !
I've got a cream one with r/wood board and hollow birds but my one criticism is the fret size........bit big and clumpy .
They've got more poke than you would expect, those pickups haven't they ?
