It also doesn't take into account the effects of him beginning to get tired after 3 minutes of walking and having to slow down to catch his breath again.

True, but he may have been warming up and not reached his usual walking speed until 2:45.

I have leggy and other issues and was checking my 6MWD chart......the best I can manage ( and I have been working up tae it for ages) was todays figure of 400 steps in 3:13

At my age and weight and height i should be able tae do .....wait for it....wait for it....746 steps/530 meters    ^

I think I could work this out with a calculator. I don't want to though.
