    Hi. I think you may need a 60s Les Paul for a slim neck I have an R58 & R59 the 58s are the biggest in my experience. Hope this helps all the best. I live in South East London you are welcome to come and compare the neck sizes. John.

    I believe the 2014 R8s came with the R9 neck carve so a bit slimmer.

    Agree with the above comments, my experience is that R8s generally have rather chunky necks. My R9 would be considered “slim” in comparison and is my personal favourite of all neck profiles of any guitar.
