FS: Gibson Les Paul Standard '93 Ebony £1200 SOLD

I bought this new in early ‘94 from Pete Oakley Music in Burton-on-Trent. It's been gigged a lot and there are some details which you need to be aware of if you're interested in this guitar.

First and foremost, its suffered the classic headstock break which I had repaired by Alan Marshall of Northworthy Guitars in Derbyshire. It was before the days of digi cameras etc so I have no photographic evidence of the break or the repair. I'm unsure of the exact date but I'd guess it happened nearly 20 years ago now. I'm trying to locate the receipt from Alan for the work which I'll add to the details on here if/when I can find it. Edit, receipt for the neck repair is dated Sept ‘02. Needless to say, Alans work is flawless and the break is almost invisible. I've had to try very hard to photograph to barely visible repair/break line. It's rock solid and stable anyway, no issues since.

It has now got some of Oil City Pickups finest Forces Sweetheart pickups in. The original pickups were sold on here a few years ago. 

The original gold speed knobs are in the case.

The tuners are factory fitted Grovers. 

The original HSC is worn but fully functional.

The guitar is in great shape for a much gigged 29 year old, no major damage. A few small chips, swirls on the back. The neck is really unmarked, I'm very particular about avoiding neck dings.

Priced at £1200 I'm not looking for offers or trades.

I'm not risking this with couriers so it's collection or meet up somewhere plus I want the buyer to be happy with the condition of the guitar before they part with the money. I'm in the East Midlands, Notts/Derbys area.

I've included lots of photographs to show as much of the wear condition as I can, any questions ask away.

Someone will be very pleased with this. Would be tempted if you were nearer. Do not fear the glue. The neck is glued in anyway

Lovely! Great era for Gibson (in my opinion) and you cannot beat an ebony les Paul -they just look so cool!. Good luck with the sale.

Ha, no!  I joined this forum purely to try find a guitar I used to own which was last seen in these parts.  It was an LP style build nice and heavy - no sign of it, so keeping an eye out for other things, with early 90s black Lesters being very much on the list.  Bah!!
