For me they could have been a nomination as greatest band ever but for a string of mediocre albums later on. Breathtaking originality, incredible singer, unique guitarist, many songs like no one else plus a pile of nailed on classics.
Personally I prefer their early albums most.
Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
Stockist of: Earvana & Graphtech nuts, Faber Tonepros & Gotoh hardware, Fatcat bridges. Highwood Saddles.
Pickups from BKP, Oil City & Monty's pickups.
Expert guitar repairs and upgrades - fretwork our speciality! www.felineguitars.com. Facebook too!
That's just demonstrably bollocks though.
Even some of their less good efforts were borne from a desire to experiment and not stand still, rather than because they'd run out of ideas.
It's also perfectly OK to not like them.
"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski
"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein
I think they’re great. Took me a long time to realise but yeah they’re clearly great and have some really natural songs - Champions and Show must go on seem like they’ve always been written; Queen just found them.
