That was Candy green in the fender catalogue but was nicknamed 7 Up. Don't know whether it was metallic or not.

Someday soon.... I've been peeping again. Have a picture of a green Strat on my desktop this week, by chance, too. Remember those Dargie Green Petrucci EBMM's from a little while back.. those were cool.

I live all the Candy colours. Candy Tangerine being my fave. What I do hate about that guitar is all the missing paint. I quite like Journeyman relics where they add Patina. But huge sections of missing paint going down to the wood looks horrible. Guitars don’t age like that unless you’re Rory Gallagher.

My issue with the aging is just that it means there's less of the green.

I've looked at this thread several times over the last 24 hours and it's only just crossed my mind that my S2 594 is not far off candy green.

If memory serves me correctly Fender introduced Candy Apple Green in the first half of the eighties, towards the end of the CBS era. I can't remember if it was just a regular colour, or introduced with the active Elite series models, but I'm sure it's originally from that era, at least as far as Fender history is concerned.
