F/S Gibson Memphis ES330 2018 - SOLD

As bought from DB1 on this very forum a few months ago and in the very same, very excellent, condition.   And I have borrowed  - stolen, technically - his pictures too but I'm more than happy to supply more if requested.

So, it's a 2018 ES330, three colour sunburst, in lovely nick - no chips, no dings, no scratches, just very light playing wear in places - with P90s and a very nice neck indeed - full but not excessive and very comfortable.

It came to me with flatwounds which really suited it but it now has 11-50 Gibson Historic strings for a little bit more of an in your face sound.  Obviously, in your face is subjective and it's certainly no heavy metal  machine but it can rock as good as the next when required.

The case is a bit scuffed on the outside but is excellent inside, which is the bit that really matters.

I'm selling it for two reasons: - one, it's too subtle and refined for my needs and I actually prefer the sound of my Casino when it's wound up a bit.    And two, honestly, I could use the money.

Any questions , feel free to ask.  I'm in York.  It could be couriered but I would need to get prices for fully insured shipping which I'm happy to do.  Collection would be ideal, or a meet up half way within reason, say two hours from York by car.  I know some great locations, Woolley Edge being one as DB1 will confirm, or meet up at Kings X which is easy for me.

£2100.00 ono

It's on reverb.com at a higher price to reflect sale fees and grief generally, but I would prefer it to go to someone on here.

I absolutely flipping love how vivid that burst is. Such a cool and slightly unique looking 330.
Best of luck with the sale, I’m going to be supremely jealous of whoever gets this.

Every one I’ve played from this 2018 run has been brilliant. If I didn’t already have a red one I’d be very keen.

It is a great looking guitar isn’t it.  I love the red shading so much.

It's a belter, and  @rlw is a great guy to deal with. The security cameras at Woolley Edge services will confirm this.

A really, really nice guitar, as all of the 2018 models that I've played are.

I know it’s impossible to describe the neck but is it more a thicker 50’s or a slimmer 60’s.

I meant to do this yesterday - hold on....

    1st fret   - 20.9
    12th fret - 24.8

As described by Gibson, it's a rounded C so there's a little less of it in the hand but a I wouldn't have said slim.

Maybe DB1 could chip in as he might be able to describe it better than me.  I actually find it very comfortable, easily as comfortable as the neck on my 2020 LP Special and 2016 LP Traditional and I think it's very similar to those two.

From memory - it's not chunky '50's, but not slimmer '60's either. I think that 'rounded C' describes it well - don't expect a skinny neck of the late '60's, or even a more recent slim taper neck, but don't expect a hefty palmful (so to speak) like a '59-ish profile. Slightly more rounded than a '64 profile.

It's medium and comfortable - it's sort of appealing to 'most' people, who don't like extremes of neck profile if that makes any sense.

Is it similar to your special?

    22.6
    25.7

So the Special has a fatter neck.

If you want a good comparison, try a find a shop with a current ES model as they all have the rounded C neck too.

    What's your Trad a 60,s or 50,s neck.

Gibson describe it as Tradtional Les Paul in the 2016 catalogue.  Dimensions are

    21
    24.7

So virtually the same as the 330

Beautiful & very clean 330 (much cleaner than mine with it's aftermarket Bigsby & heavy play wear!) - bargain in today's market as well. GLWTS

Thanks for the comments.  If it's any consolation, it's kind of out of my price range too what with the tax due date getting ever closer.

Bump.  Still for sale.  Lots on interest but nothing concrete.  Come on, you know this will be worth a lot more in time, in fact it's worth more TBH.
