I've only just seen this courtesy of the associated Justin Hawkins hot take video.

Technical issues aside at the start (it's an SG via a cable into a Hot Rod Deville - not a complicated signal chain right!?) - erm.. perhaps a bit of practice beforehand wouldn't have gone amiss? or even whether a slide rendition would actually work in the first place?

The Star Spangled Banner is sacrosanct to Americans.  Whenever somebody tries to be too different with it at a ball or hockey game or at a formal occasion it inevitably ends up a disaster.  I wonder if he's just past his sell-by date.  How sad.

Anybody remember Stevie Ray Vaughan's national anthem effort when he was high as a kite. Equally if not more embarassing. I can't find the video. Somebody will though no doubt.
