  • Wow what a turnaround. Fully deserved to win that as we played the better football. When we attack with a bit more intensity and play one-touch we can open up teams and it was good to see that today.

Or just lump it in the box and get someone to head it!

Liverpool were due a loss, they have had so much luck so far it was bound to run out at some point.
From what I have seen they are not really clicking yet.

Arsenal and City are gaining momentum, plus Palace genuinely in the mix, I don’t think Liverpool will hold on to the top spot for long.

I fact Arsenal may well be top next week and look to be in a strong position.  Eze is looking a great signing.  Wirtz looks to be a complete passenger so far.

As a Man U fan I don't know which is worse, Amorim sticking relentlessly to his sh*te plan, or the Man U owners sticking relentlessly to a clearly spectacularly failing manager. Where's the club I've supported all these years!?!? This is not it!

    Bring back Ole or Ruud!

I'd like to see them try something different. Like on Have I Got News For You with the guest host each week. They pick a person each week and they do the manager's job for that week only, then handover the reigns the following week. Anybody could be chosen at any time, like Jury service. You might get Sir Alex himself one week, Jane from Stockport the following week, maybe Dodgy Dave from Dagenham for the big derby match with Preston North End. It would spice it up a bit.

Or maybe some kind of winner stays on deal? Like if you win a match you get to manage the next one. If you don't, then you spend a week eating soup in Picadilly Gardens

Easy to wear my White Rose hat, from over the Pennines and enjoy what is going on - But this is not what Man U is all about - Not competing with Arsenal or LFC is one thing - Not competing with Brighton or Palace (and I’m not being negative to those clubs when I say that ) is another matter

Hard to know what the answers are - Plus Jim Ratcliffe won’t be wanting to keep paying out big compensation payments to sacked managers - They had to borrow more money only a few months ago and increase the debt level

Who would you bring in to do the job, manager wise - Easy to blame the Glazers for many of the aspects within the whole club, be it debt or culture, but it is not all their fault, especially at 3pm on a Saturday

Well your ideas would certainly help the results.

Although for a time it's fun to see your rivals fail, ultimately it is the rivalries that make sport extra exciting. I'd rather win the prem with all the top teams on form than win because they were all failing.

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, top of the Belgian pro league. Apparently they are known for their “loyal fan base, inclusive stadium culture, and progressive values”. Whatever that means. Going to be a weird game - the stadium capacity is only 9,400.

Think they were founded by the same people who founded Union Les Paul. Typically they play in red, they play a bit less heavily than Union Les Paul did, but they are prone to the occasional dive.

I read somewhere that if he makes his 1 year anniversary on November 1st, the club would save £12 Million in compensation.
They have given the famous vote of confidence, but I do wonder if they are going to at least see how it goes until then to make a decision.

Glasner is out of contract next summer so he may be on the radar, but if he has any sense he will stay clear of this particular poison challice and see how far he can take Palace.

If they appoint an ex player, either as an interim or permanent option, I think Carrick would be the one they would turn to.

The weird thing is though, Man U are still a massive pull for managers. They have been mostly rubbish for over a decade, but there is Club Legend status for the manager who reawakens the sleeping giant. Most managers will back themselves, otherwise why are they in the game at all.

You’re right, but equally they must know that it isn’t a hiding to nothing either, as a big wage and compensation for the sacking is not small change

Which is why we have our set pieces as a plan b. The frustrating thing for me to watch is when the pass is on and the player stops the ball and turns away from the attacking team mate and passes it sideward or backwards. We have Gyokeres now so crossing it first time wouldn't hurt as he can attack the ball. Martinelli's pace on the counter can stretch teams too.

I watched yesterday when Odergaard came on - The bulk of his passes were side ways - Reminded me of Butch Wilkins - Probably the world’s finest player for that

He did play a lovely pass inside the full-back for Lewis-Skelly but he took too long to cross it. Those kinda passes are what we want. Eze is probably the only other player who can do it and also turn and run at the defence.

But yes I think cos Odegaard's left footed on the right side he has to cut-back alot to get on his stronger foot whereas if he was two-footed he can play first time.

Even before Fergie retired, decline was on the cards - Yet whilst they have seriously drifted south within the PL, they have still picked up a few trophies over the last 5/10 seasons- More than most other clubs in fact - Liverpool did like wise over a long period of time - No PL title but won just about everything else over a 15/20 year period - So not all doom and gloom

But you can tell that they are currently well below an acceptable level, certainly in the PL and this season, still in Sept, and only the FA Cup as a possible piece of silverware to win
