ahh Sun Dream team..  that would be it then.....

I am with the Premier League one instead...
Is that the one where you pick from a squad of 15? If so I quite enjoyed that in the woman's euros (although the phrase Premier League says prolly not)

.. and there are a good number from here in a mini league..
    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

Maybe this says something about how poorly Man U are being run these days. Four ex players all got Player of the match in the Champions league!

The 5 best defenders that Rooney faced in the Champions league:

    5. Alessandro Nesta
    4. Ricardo Carvalho
    3. Paolo Maldini
    2. Gerard Pique
    1. John Terry

"Without a doubt the best. He was horrible to play against. Talking about leaders, he was fantastic as captain of England when I played with him. How he defended, he was strong, good in the air, never pulled out of tackles, was a threat on set-pieces. He was one of those defenders who when you went near him he would just hurt you. He didn't mean to, but he would leave something on you all the time. I don't think people give him the credit he deserves, he was incredible with both feet."

Rooneys podcast - I think I'll start listening to it. He's cropping up in the news all the time with stuff he's talking about. Interesting.

They're probably all on ManU's "Buy" list again now ...

The last decent ManU era was when Sir Alex had built (not bought) the core of the squad through the youth teams, players who'd grown up with a consistent ethos and discipline and desire to play for ManU (rather than just a paycheque signed by ManU).

You can chase quick results by bringing in the mercenaries, and you can keep doing that if you have the financial backing (and lawyers), but teams are built, and good teams are built by good managers who are given the time to build.

ManU's approach seems to have been like that of a spoiled child whose indulgent parents take them into a toy shop every month.  "I want, I want, I want" the child yells, pointing at something new and shiny on the shelf.  Parents buy.  Two days later, the new shiny is discarded in a corner and the child starts looking for the next want, want, want.  No-one's happy (apart from the owners of the toy shop).

Well we’ve officially got the best international side when Bellingham, Grealish and Foden can’t even make the squad!

Weather is bloody awful tonight in Bournemouth but so happy with the score. Always a tough one vs Fulham but we managed. Semenyo, absolute magic!

Spares just had that bit of extra individual quality today - Albeit it with 2 deflections - Hard to knock our work rate and endeavour and probably deserved a draw but there we go

    Thought Leeds played well tbh.

Look a notch or two above last year's promoted teams (aka relegation candidates), so looking good to avoid the drop this season.

Good to see a match where tackling and the odd "nudge" was allowed too.  Other refs would have had a lot more cards out.

Yes a good tussle or two without ever blowing over - And such weather conditions would not have made it easy for either side

A credible defeat if there is such a thing - Decent XG and shot stats

    edited October 4
It's only just October and our annual flake out appears to have happened already, our new manager presumably now realising that a club such as ours with its inherent loser mentality is a lot harder to do than a premier League youth team or whatever it was he did at Spurs. I like the guy but i don't think he's right for us - I hope I'm proven wrong as i so often am
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,  a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Can’t recall now who was asking why me and indeed a couple of other members were so anti Chris Wilder and portrayed him as a twat - I know @joneve and @thecolourbox box agreed that with me - So now read this https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crrjprk8d5jo - Maybe not as severe as the Cantona kick but not what you’d expect from any player or manager - Would expect to see a hefty ban for this
Didn’t think it was that bad tbh - although Wilder is a grade A dick.    I saw a Brentford player do a similar thing at St Andrews a few years ago… walloped the ball at Birmingham City fans.   It was quite amusing.   No ban issued… not even sure he was booked actually.

Third home win in a row that. Old Trafford is a fortress again, we're totally back, gonna win the league. #AmorimIn

Lovely goal. I'm of course biased but I'd put Kluivert's goal in contention (quite similar actually)

A clean sheet as well.  Forgot those were even a thing.  Sesko looking good as well.

Will all go to shit the next game away at Liverpool, but hey ho, beating a newly promoted team at home and being happy for a few days is where we’re at  :)
