Mighty win by Scotland tonight. I wasn't watching but my brother and dad were chatting on WhatsApp and said Greece were way better, but we beat them 3-1. Result. Onwards.

My wife is Scottish so I watched it (not the England "friendly").

    God it was awful

Scotland were dreadful for most of the game. Greece threw it away.. and the Scots did  the reverse of their usual "snatching defeat from the jaws of the victory". They stuck together with grit. So well done.

Yes Scotland were absolutely guff. The mentality issue was there once again - a couple of passable results and everyone starts purring as if we're world beaters, including the players so it would appear. Several of them were an absolute shadow of what we see when they play for other teams. Clarke has a good record, god knows how though.

Can’t recall now who was asking why me and indeed a couple of other members were so anti Chris Wilder and portrayed him as a twat - I know @joneve and @thecolourbox box agreed that with me - So now read this https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crrjprk8d5jo - Maybe not as severe as the Cantona kick but not what you’d expect from any player or manager - Would expect to see a hefty ban for this
That was me. While we're on it, I listened to the Cantona kick live on the radio. It sounded like he murdered the bloke at the time according to the presenter and pundit whoever it was.

Cmon Wales later. I hope the England game gave an insight into how hard they have to play, how much energy and concentration is required etc etc.  Belgium are usually a good side and last time out they beat us 4-3 at their gaff, but we win 2nite in our gaff... we are top of the group with macedonia and lichenstein to play. Crucial game. Up the taffys.

    Dont worry, be silly.

will be watching the earlier part of the game - 3 of my Leeds mates are playing - Darlow, Rodon and Ampadu, with James injured

Probably someone who has some large bills to pay in six months time. Ange's bank manager must be having a good few months bonus wise.

Postecoglou's sacking is being reported and discussed on the radio as if it's the biggest shock of the century.

It was very abrupt, coming 21 minutes after the end of the Chelsea game, but I think the bigger surprise was that they appointed him in the first place, it felt like a strange knee-jerk decision and it was never going to last.  They were probably getting his P45 ready from day one.

    Russell Martin apparently.

    He’s available and is taking a no-win, no-fee deal.

What’s going on at Newcastle, even without Isak it is a decent team that should be doing better. Woltemade Is doing well but they can’t put together any kind of run.

It is worrying for us. I have to say not having Livramento on one side and Hall on the other is a huge problem.
