Forgot what patch I’m Using in Dexed (I know!) will this fix it . . .

Hi , well in My  newness I forgot to do my arrangement markers and label my tracks properly 
  I use Dexed  on one track. And I can’t remember which of the zillions of banks of presets I used .

if I drag the existing track with the instrument on to create a new track  then delete the existing midi regions I assume I can then start to play new stuff using the same instrument .

the project started as a few riffs etc , but then grew and by then I’d not organised it .


most of my Dexed tracks , the regions seem to be named say again ,even though I’m using a different instrument preset . Must be something to do with how i load them in .

im very new to logic but getting by  , I’m learning it’s best not to have too many different sounds to begin with  else it can begin to sound disjointed

Can't you just open the dexed plug in instance on the track you used it on before to find out which preset it is using?

Drag n drop didn’t really work . I found out the name of the patch was called Celeste Y (not sure if there’s more of a word after Y ,but it’s finding it . Found some similar Celeste patches.
there must be an easy way thought to drag a region to create a new track and retain the previous instrument
