    you could create a thread and see if there are any forum members based in N.Ireland willing to assist? Long shot but worth the ask and I have seen such requests succeed in the past

    Slight change of plan. 

    Now after a later Fender AVRI 52R (2004 ash to 2012ish) 

    Not too worried about condition of finish. 

    Also poss trade for my Webber Southern Jumbo (advertised in acoustics)

    Are you certain about 2010?

    In my experience, the thicker, U profile neck arrived with the 2013 model year AV '52 Telecaster.

    Prior to that, the affordable route to a slightly thicker neck was the '52 Hot Rod Telecaster. These have a 9.5" radius fingerboard and bigger fret wire.

    @Funkfingers ah yes I got the date wrong. It looks like they got thicker in 2012 with the AV range. The one I'm after is actually from the mid 00's up to 2012. (my brother has a 2012 with the perfect thick-sh U neck, which is the one I'm after). His was made just on the cusp of AVRI->AV...wil tweak the OP

    I need to check the year on my AVRI '52. Its neck puts me in mind of a mid-Fifties Stratocaster more than anything.
