Has anyone else checked this album out?  It's incredible.

It's a concept album based on the singer and his upbringing in small town USA.

There is an Abridged version, if you don't want the monologues before each song.

Some of the lyrics are devastating, but amazing.  Second Verse of Quiet Town stands out.  So does In The Car Outside and the title track.

Defo, I love Dave's solo stuff too.  He's such a big part of their sound

i also like Brandon F’s 2 solo albums, but I think a lot of those songs have most of the band on as well so the sound is goof

Beautiful album, by far my favourite of their recent work. I also agree that lyrically it is one of their finest.

Cheers for this thread.  I loved Quiet Town because I heard it a lot on an internet radio station but I've now listened to the (abridged) album.  Really good -- deep towards the end especially.  But good.

I honestly think The Getting By is one of the best songs they’ve ever written. It’s not going to get people jumping at Wembley but it’s magic
