Wanted: Something from 1978

What's Hot

With 3 guitars from ‘79 listed here this week it’s got my thinking about a YOB guitar (again).

Anyone looking to part with a ‘78 guitar give me a shout.

Will consider most guitars as it’s just a shallow token gesture thing that I probably wouldn’t give a shit about if I hadn’t read about other people doing it on the internet.

But I’m a bit bored guitar wise so why not? I might find something that I hadn’t considered before…

Looking to buy but could offer up a few trades.

Thanks

Three years ‘newer’ than the current Mrs Brum. Let’s take this to pm.  =)

My memories of 78 were mainly hanging out with mates who lived in low rent rooms in shared house or squats. With the thick smell of patchouli and weed in the air and all the guitar players at the time seeming to own Eko 12 string guitars.  B)

For the avoidance of doubt I’m not looking for a 12 string Eko

Had a very nice offer of a Strat via PM but when it comes to Fender I’m in the Tele camp.

I’m thinking electrics not acoustics - low end Gibsons (I’m priced out of LP customs etc), interesting old Japanese electrics.

Guilds definitely considered. Maybe even a Shergold!

No real budget in mind - for example I’d probably sell a child for a nice Ric 330 - which seem to be rockinghorse shit from the late 70s.

That said. Bonus points for anything under a grand which is more than enough for buying on a whim.
