Which music YouTubers’ have had hit records?

I often find myself watching various YouTube creators (The Guitaristas, Rick Beato, Paul Davids etc.) & it got me thinking apart from having their own channels on YouTube, who out of all of them has been part of a big selling record?

I believe Beato was in a band that opened for Megadeth back in the day but he's more of a producer. Phil X is in Bon Jovi.  The bloke from Trivium too.

I don't know, the lines are quite blurred... there are people who are definitely best known as musicians, but also have very active YouTube channels which may actually earn more money than their playing gigs (I'm just guessing that part...)

Pete Thorn springs to mind.  Has he ever played on a hit record?  I don't know.  Also Kiko Loureiro, who's primarily the guitarist in Megadeth but he does make a lot of YouTube videos.

Then there's someone like Ola Englund, who's probably best known as a YouTuber (and owner of Solar guitars), but he's also  in established "proper" bands, notably The Haunted.

I hesitate to say it, but wasn't Chappers number one in the Amazon blues rock chart one week...?

Justin Hawkins seems to be a fixture of late on YouTube. He’s had a hit record or two.

Pierce is largely a former session player these days but I think Bukovac is still going. Thorn has done sessions in the past and toured with major artists although I don't know about any hits.

Hasn't Rabea Massad got a big gig recently?

Also, Tim Henson of Polyphia- started as Timmy Hendrix on YT?

Bukovac is still very busy session wise and also on the road with Ann Wilson. Plus he has his own album out with Trip the witch.
Most YT'ers doing the thing are players rather than writers, Justine aside.

Tim Pearce has played on loads of famous stuff.
Phil X is in Bon Jovi
Pete Thorne has been in various bands including Chris Cornell..
Rabea has a few bands which aren't super successful but are very good.

I believe Sam Ryder just did very well in a massive singing contest.

He started on youtube and tiktok singing at home. The single got to No2.

Album on the way. Will probably do quite well.

I know it's not popular to say it on here, but...Rob Chapman hit the top of the Amazon charts with Dorje a couple of times. Four YouTubers in that band - Rob, Rabea, Dave Hollingworth (bass) and Ben Minal (drums).
