Back in the rehearsal studio now. with a new drummer. Can you recommend a Recommend a super lightweight 1X12 extension cab for easy carrying and positioning? It'll be used with a Genz Benz Black Pearl 30 watt valve combo which is seriously heavy.

    Carvin used to do one through Thomann, they don’t any more of course but you can still find them. Really well built, really light.
    Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
    Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

    Only 7Kg/15lb if you specify a neo speaker.

    Neodymium G10/G12 replacement for a lightweight cab would be my approach.

    You can also get Eminence Neo Creambacks
    Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

  • Hi. The Harley Benton G112 Vintage cab with a Celestion V30 installed is a surprisingly good sounding cab, made of 18mm Poplar plywood. It's relatively light, especially so if you flog the V30 & replace it with a neo. I have two & really like them. They're only £125 with the V30.

    Yup, & mine sound excellent - albeit with the V30s sold off & replaced by Emis. The only downside is the relatively delicate vinyl covering.

    I use two Matrix 112NL cabs, light as a feather and found fantastic. Usually find them on eBay.

    I’ve got a very small nicely home made 1x12 cab - it’s about as small and light as a 1x12 can be and weighs 7.8kg.

    I’ll send you some photos and details if you are interested?

    Cheers,
    Ben.
    I'm always looking for interesting USA Hamers for sale.

    At the moment I'm looking for:
    * Hamer Watson, SS2, Vintage S, T62.
    * Music Man Luke 1, Luke II

    Please drop me a message.
