ARrrrgggghhhh Imgur have changed how you share an image.
Ah Well its a Blues Deluxe Reissue, cheers Mart , looks like it should, def weighs how I expected it to weigh. Dunno if it sounds like it should, i've not powered it up yet.
Anything I should be aware of?
Anything I should do? It has a lion Tamer with it but Im going to use my Attenuator as that makes it a little easier to run a line out to my PC.

Use both, then you can balance all the stages of overdrive.

If the amp hasn’t been set for 240V rather than the supplied 230V, it’s best to do it - it will maximise reliability and valve life, and in my opinion sounds slightly better too.

yeah i've been looking for a simple diagram but nothing springs up (or my Google Fu has left me) although I'd imagine the HRD is the same?

Same colour coding but different terminal numbers - with the Blues it’s P13 and P25, for 240V the black wire should be on P25 and white/black on P13.

Is this something specific to this amp, or is the same on other fender amps? (or clones?)

Any amp which has the option - most modern Fenders do.

230V is a Euro-fudge, the UK still uses 240V really.

found that diagram finally (it wasn't easy) so I just have to make sure everything is as the last column describes yes?

colour me stupid but for the life of me I cannot see CP13 and CP25 in/on the pcb/amp anywhere, am i looking in the wrong place maybe? I can see a bundle of wires coming out of the transformer (bolted to the chassis) some going to the power switch then off to the PCB, the ones on the PCB are labelled but nothing with 13 or 25 on it. The PCB is dated 2009,the diagram I shared earlier is for a 1994 i think, so I've found this diagram dated 2004 for BDRI

    am I right in saying I should swap P4 and P10 ?
These pics show both locations that should correlate with that

    P10 is plain black

    P4 is White/Black

My fault for not making it clear it was a Blue Deluxe Re-issue, seemingly from 2009 ish or thereabouts.

Yes, that's correct. That actually makes it the same as the Hotrod - black should be on P4 and white/black on P10 for 240V.

Ooh, amp porn. Wait, a green resistor? What tolerance is that?

    5%. Brown, red, red, gold - 1.2K.

It's labelled R97 as well, which corresponds to the Hotrod schematic and not the original Blues (where it's R59), so clearly they are using the updated Hotrod board for both amps.

Thanks. So in terms of tolerance, green = brown?

Gold is the Tolerance Indicator = 5%

Ah I see, thanks. What does a green coloured body imply then? Is it the material that was used?

I’m not sure the colour of the body signifies anything. It looks like a standard Metal oxide resistor which is common for something rated at 1watt or higher.

It’s the colour the manufacturer chose. It means nothing.

Unless Fender used green ones in the '50s, then they'd be "period correct" and sound much better - and obviously cost ten times as much.
