I dont think I've listened to enough of Sabbath's stuff to hate them,but if I did I most likely would. I recognise the significance of Led Zeppelin to the growth of the 'heavier' Rock scene but the more songs I hear from them outside of their classics the more they dont interest me at all. I think the preponderance of youtube guitar followers and teachers who seem to push heavy and loud music makes it difficult to get away from. Especially as some of those people are bloody good players and teachers.

In all fairness to The Smiths,Johnny Marr has said that he wrote the music and left the lyrics to Morrissey. I did always like their music but not their songs. I now know why.

I discovered the Johnny Marr quote only recently but was a listener of general music back in the 1980s. I liked their sound but the lyrical and vocal side wasnt my personal cup of tea.

Then there's bands like Keane, the Verve, Mumford and Sons. Shudderer. 

The newest band to make me want to stuff my bollocks in my ears is Fontaine DC.
