A black example of the pointy ones has been listed for several weeks now.

Gotta wonder how long before Chapman Guitars is wound down?

Used to be all anyone talked about here. I think we're reaching that same saturation point with Harley Benton now

Harley Benton being a German brand though will probably be spared the uniquely British phenomenon of being torn to shreds by your own countrymen for having achieved a level of success or visibility in the public sphere.

Tbf I don't think anyone was begrudging his success. Just everything else

Fun find! I find it curious they're selling a Ghost Fret stripped of all its parts (but still included - just need putting back on) for £699 - assembled examples struggle to fetch that much used, or did last time I checked. Seems ambitious!

The eBay foursome are Pro Series. MSRP, £999.

Judging by the photographs, they have not been assembled. e.g. The ML-1 Pro is drilled for through stringing but not for the bridge fastening screws.

They’ll be on Essex’s Recording Studio’s website as RARE CHAPMAN PROTOTYPE before you can say, “I’ve a model wife and Ferrari”.

Good. They have all sold. I am certain that all four will make interesting projects for their respective purchasers.

I decided against buying any of them. This was partly for cosmetic reasons - the fugly reversed headstock and infinity fingerboard inlay - and partly because I have too many other project guitars still unfinished.

This last fact did not prevent me nabbing an "attic find" 1996 Jackson Performer PS2 for next to nothing.
