SOLD Fender jv st62-85 1982

Selling a very early 1982 fender jv st62-85 this one has a low serial number and the rare grey bottom Fullerton USA pickups and a nitro finish. Fender logo (not Squier)  Road worn through 40 years of gigging. It’s in a beautiful custom black with a rosewood board. Stunning guitar that is very rare in the uk with this spec. 

I’ve been a member her for a good few years and never figured out how to upload photos so please message me and I will send any pics as required.

That’s the early JV Squier logo, the OP’s is a Fender JV rather than a Squier

@lovestrat74  indeed, those are all Squier guitars the one for sale here was not a Squier.

Gotcha! I didn't realise that the very first few that were made solely for the Japanese market had no reference to Squier what so ever. I know after this they had both the spaghetti logo and the squier decal as above.

Mine never had that logo on the head stock - justt a JV plate on the neck - I bought mine new

There were a few different grades of jv guitars made, the squiers were generally poly and the higher grades 85 and 115 were nitro. Some were made for the export market and some were made for the Japanese domestic market. The 85 grade guitars like I sold here are extremely rare in the uk and the grey bottom pickups are the rarest of the USA pickups to be found in jv guitars. Really great guitars and I’m sure the new owner will be extremely happy
