. . . and a way of persuading myself to buy another guitar *sigh*
I really like my Squier Affinity Jazzmaster in Burgundy Mist, the sound from the pickups, the neck, the white scratchplate.
However, as I've just swapped my Meterora for my old J Mascis JM I can't really justify buying a second one, even though a few places have them for sale for £175.
Or so I thought.
So, the plan for the one I ordered this morning
is:
Spray the body with a crackle finish for texture and then finish the whole thing with red satin. Inspired by
@Nightswan 's black Ibanez.
Use one of the pickups from the J Mascis which I replaced with some Lollars and put it in the middle.
Fit two toggle switches, one to add in the middle pickup, the other to switch the centre position between series and parallel.
Think about whether or not to match the pickup covers to the body finish, keep them white or maybe a third colour.
