No Longer FS: PRS SE Hollowbody II

Breaking with tradition, I thought I'd see if there was any interest in this *before* committing to buying something else. 

I'm only selling-to-buy, so if this doesn't sell before the other thing does, then this will stay.

I know, I know, forum tradition is that I'm supposed to buy first, then fail to decide which one to sell and end up with another +1.

This is in as-new condition, not gigged, not been taken outside other than for photo shoots, kept in its standard hard case.  No Velcro.

It's all that you'd expect from a PRS SE in terms of quality of materials and finish, plays lovely, and you can make it sound warm and mellow or hard and rocky.

Ideally pickup from IP22 area, or I could drive an hour-ish for a meet-up.  I've got boxes, and it's in its original hard case, so if you want to arrange courier and insurance, I'm happy to hand it over to your chosen courier (just don't want the hassle of dealing with anything that goes awry on its travels).

£600? Or make me a Grey Saturday offer ...

Any marks are either dust, or reflections/shadows.  I can't see any marks on it anywhere.

Comes with the standard PRS hardcase that comes with this model, which it's been kept in.

If you're thinking about it, genuinely the only reason I'm selling is to be able to snap up something else that's too similar to justify having both, so if that goes first, I'll be keeping this.

TBH, when I bought it, I couldn't get my first choice colour, so ended up with this instead.

As it turns out, I think this is probably a better option than my original preference.  It's also got all the PRS quality that you'd expect without having quite the usual PRS blingy bling.  Sometimes the bling can be a bit OTT - and I say that as an unapologetic fan of PRS generally.

So, I got lucky.

Even got £10 off it at the time - the dealer offered £20 but I thought that was going too far.


I've tried other hollowbody type guitars in the past - Gibson 335 & 339 and one of the Yam SA models from the 80s.  Never really clicked with them, I think mainly because of the shape/size of the body, and the weight that they crammed into the centre blocks.

This one is far more manageable.  It's normal guitar sized, and a very comfortable weight - it's not going to float away, but neither is it awkward to pick up and play.

How is this still available, I had one about 2 years ago, smashing guitar that gave my Core Hollow body a bloody good run for its money.
If I were not cash poor and was not about to move house very soon I think I would be taking a trip to  myself and Tony's favorite meeting point at Tesco's Royston

move date of 15th if the solicitors manage to get their butts in gear, this has taken since mid July

I'm going to need to get hold of some rust resistant strings as we will be a hop, skip and (fairly long) jump from the sea.

It's going to mean we will have to find another Tesco car park, Royston is 250 miles away

You can complete new guitar the experience by putting on a new string gauge, messing with the neck relief and unbalancing the pickups
