Jackson's stunning Pro Series Limited Edition San Dimas SD22 JB is based on the guitar Steve Vai (aka Jack Butler) used in the iconic guitar duel scene from the cult classic film Crossroads (1986).
The embodiment of a true '80s superstrat, this stylish recreation of the legendary Crossroads guitar is a shredder's dream with its ultra-fast neck, jumbo frets, compound radius fingerboard, high-output DiMarzio pickups and Floyd Rose tremolo system. You'll nail Paganini's Caprice No. 24 in no time with this instrument!
A trusted tonewood combination has been used to construct the Jackson San Dimas SD22 JB. The pairing of an Alder body with a Maple neck ensures a balanced sound with plenty of mid-range attack and high-end clarity - ideal for anything rock! The body is finished in an outlandish Red Sparkle colour, complete with Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons for reliable onstage use.
The neck is arguably the most important feature of any guitar when it comes to feel. And fortunately, the Jackson Pro Series Limited Edition San Dimas SD22 JB features a neck so playable that you'll feel practically no hindrance when sweeping, tapping or attempting lightning-fast scale runs!
With a super-thin profile, the San Dimas SD22 JB's neck is exceptionally elegant and sports a hand-rubbed satin finish for a quick and slippery feel. The neck also comes fitted with 22 jumbo-sized frets for controllable vibrato and string bending techniques, and boasts a 12" to 16" compound radius fingerboard with rolled edges that flattens out the higher you ascend. Graphite reinforcement rods are installed along the neck for extra stability too, keeping your tuning well in check.
A double-dose of DiMarzio pickups give this spellbinding guitar a potent voice. With a Super Distortion DP100 bridge humbucker and a PAF Pro DP151 in the neck position, these ultra-hot pickups dish out plenty of output - delivering the perfect blend of power and tone. Expect boosted mids, focused lows and vibrant highs from the bridge pickup, while the open-sounding neck pickup cuts through a heavy mix with snappy highs and a spiked mid-range.
