WTB Macbook pro 15inch or iMac

My mid 2012 MacBook pro is on its way out after its hard life, does anyone have either a 15inch macbook pro or iMac they are wanting rid of?

To be honest i have little idea on keeping up with technology prices and haven't for the last few years so im out of the loop but 300ish if possible?

Macfinder is good they are a refurbisher & you get a warranty 
  If you search their listings on eBay there are more bargains to be found  a lot of the lower priced stuff is on there

If it’s going to be primarily for recording I’d go with the iMac.  Just easier to have a big screen and permanently set up for Logic etc.

If you can swing it, an m1 Mac Mini + a screen are going to be a hell of a lot better than a mbp in that pricerange.

You will get a nice a1398 for around £300 to £375. These are lovely machines and loads better than the touchbar USBC only models that followed on.

The ones with Intel Irish graphics are less prone to problems than the ones with more powerful GPU's.
