Cheaper alternatives to Hammond cases

I’ve always used Hammond cases. FuzzDog says he’s tried all other brands but Hammond is the absolute best for the price. Have YOU tried any alternatives? Please share your experiences, where you get your cases, etc.

Nice, thanks. Quality wise, in what ways would you say they are inferior to Hammonds?

I used to use the cheapo die cast aluminium ones from Rapid. I think they were £3 a pop. Occasionally needed a quick go with a tap on one corner, but that was rare.

Great stuff. Does anyone know where Hammond and Tayda cases are made? I've tried to find out by looking at my pedal builds, but could not find any details.

Paint finish not so perfect, metal a bit softer. But I made loads of pedals using their cases and they're fine.
