I nearly bought one of these back when they first came out and kinda regret not pulling the trigger. Used prices on the likes of Reverb and Fleabay seem somewhat "optimistic" (one as high £1350!) I seem to recall these were about £6-700 when they first came out, so I'm loathe to be paying significantly more than that from some of the chancers on there.

Anyone got one they'd be tempted to part with, preferably the bigsby version?

Or alternatively anyone got anything similarly hollow, double cutaway, with a pair of decent quality P90s?

Limited edition and very sought after.  I thnk you'll be lucky to find one much under £800 without a Bigsby.

Buy one of the Worn series and stick a BIgsby on it or this looks pretty good (but it may be gone now)

@Dontgiveupyourdayjob ;    Guitar Guitar have the worn Casinos in their spring sale £379.

    https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/search/?Query=Epiphone+Casino

upgrade with oil citys or Alegrees and you will still be under £575.

That's not a bad shout, hadn't seen that. Though i am a lazy git and generally prefer my guitars to come with good pick-ups already installed!

I used to own a Casino (Peerless era iirc) and it was a lovely guitar, but the pick-ups were horribly overwound. Was gonna get them swapped, but in the end just sold it and bought something else due to my laziness!

I love the Casino pickups.  Subtle they are not.

The Gary Clark Jr is a lovely guitar had one years ago, the Gibson pickups were nice but still preferred the Lollars, realistically £600-£700 is a bit optimistic as it is a out of production/limited model, the cheapest I have seen it was on Facebook Marketplace for £870 and was instantly gone (I saved it and a few hours later checked again and was sold)!

I sold my wine red early eighties MIJ Casino a couple of years back for £900. Now that was awesome, played well and lovely raucous sound to it…regret selling that one.

Hmm, maybe I'm being a bit too optimistic then. I was basing it on the fact that they were about £600 brand new, and the only ones that I've seen sell on here went for around the £400 mark (admittedly a few years ago). Might need to rethink.

Anyone tried a Peerless Songbird at all? Another Casino basically. There's one on eBay with fully upgraded Lindy Fralin pick-ups and wiring that's going for £850, which again seems steep to me. Are they really worth that sort of money?

I’m a big GC Jr fan - I think his signature Casinos have become of interest to the speculators, I have seen them go for 700 but not for a while. I wish they’d reissue his signature SG - that’s the one I really want…

If you’re looking at other options, there’s a peerless-made Casino on reverb for 660 - fralins, refret, upgraded loom etc - I was very interested (no relation to me) but a big car bill killed my bank balance. Worth a look.

Peerless Songbird are really good guitars too, beautifully constructed, the only weak point on them is the electronics are cheapies, also it has a fatter neck than a standard Casino.

Yes I'd seen that one, looks lovely and a good price. Alas, it's local collection only and he's at the wrong end of the country from me.  pensive

Wow, that's certainly something a bit out of the ordinary! Don't see many relic'd Casinos, but I actually quite like that. Local collection only unfortunately, and 500+ miles away.  :/

Ones popped up today for £750 - worth a look on the ‘bay if you’re still looking. Nothing to do with me, I just have an alert set.

Thanks for that. Collection only, but I've messaged him anyway on the off chance he's open to postage!

Looks like the seller hasn't a clue and just copied and pasted something of the net.

No lennon signature on the back of the neck , no black rubber grommet around the pick up selector switch..looks a bog standard Casino to me .
