Saw this one yesterday Fred - looked really nice, as it should be for the price. To think that my L-5 Wes was ha;f the cost three years ago!

Thanks Dave, spotted that one too. Beautiful. Either they were cheap three years ago or are overpriced now. I think the truth is somewhere in between. I came across a beautiful L-5 in wine red for sale for 2 years now around £8k, unsold. Some nice vintage Johnny Smiths available at Carter in the US too.

Also maybe try to find a Jim Triggs. Basically an L-5 by a guy who built a LOT of L-5s but with superior woods and less cost. What's not to like?

I'm off to the solicitors this morning to be invoiced for an as yet undisclosed sum . Might be selling mine soon (2 pickups though).

What a gem! Thank you for sharing that, could you drop me a PM with some more info? I have a 175 type already but been playing it more and more so it’s certainly a contender.
