I haven't gotten around to listing it.

Might be worth considering buying a regular Mexican and sending it for a refinish. You'll be able to get exactly the guitar you want and it won't cost more than the road-worn series.

I went through the same process myself and couldn't be happier.

  • Got a lead on a 2011 roadworn but ideally holding out for a 2008/9 original roadworn

It doesn't help you find one, but I'm curious about these - I'd prefer a 9.5 neck and jumbo frets though.    What is the difference in the model years?

  • Essentially earlier ones I believe have more realistic relic jobs, and in particular a lovely dakr rosewood fretboard…later ones are lighter
i think anyway, I could be wrong

I have an 2008 RW Olympic White one. What you say is totally on point it feels every bit as good as my 1960 CS Tele (the neck carve is basically exactly the same).

Of course I got shit down by the Vintera Road Worn brigade who haven't actually seen or played one of these now rare first run models.

The only issue with them is the hardware could use an upgrade if you absolutely must. The bridge unit is the typical Zinc alloy gumf. But they're vintage spaced so a pure vintage unit would fit.

Trust me, they're worth holding out for.
