I put this experimental 7 string together over the weekend from parts I already had to test a few ideas.

1. Neck with head on a Headless body.
2. Using the 1st fret as a zero fret, so no open strings noises.
3. Using a Teak bridge, saddle and nut for a warmer tone.
4. 50mm to 60mm neck width from top to bottom.
5. Action below 1mm at 12th fret. (My lowest action ever, but maybe too low.)
6. Both pickups on, no switch.

Very nice - if you can achieve that kind of action at the 12th fret, that would be amazing!

I got started on 7 string by getting a guitar you were selling, and am now on 8 string, so this is interesting stuff.

I've increased the action to 1.4mm at the 12th fret, under 1mm was too low, I was on the frets.

I did consider 8 strings with a low string and a high treble string, so BEADGCF, yes, I tune in fourths.

That Les Paul style 7 string you bought was a nice inexpensive guitar, but the wrong shape for me.
