If you mean a Dakota or Hurricane, I wonder if one of those would be that much cheaper second hand than a new one. I’ve not yet seen a single one of them come up on the used market. If you mean the earlier Ivison LPJ-style models, I’ve only noticed one of those come up second hand over the last few years. Good luck with the hunt, they’re great guitars.

Neil himself has taken a battering over the years and comes pretty worn in?

I doubt it from my knowledge of the guitars and knowing Neil and he guitars. They are top class and some of the best palying, sounding and feeling guitars out there. I can't wait to order mine!

I've had saved searches setup on various online platforms for at least the last year and I think only one has come up and from memory that might have been a DC junior type.

Thanks for all the comments. Youve pretty much validated my thoughts in so far as used examples are just not changing hands, but hey it was worth asking!

Me too. I think it was a sunburst SC Jr and iirc the asking price was more than they used to cost new.

With vintage Gibson juniors doubling in price in the past three years, buying boutique, low production numbered, hand made the old fashioned way seems to be the way to go…..

I follow him on Facebook - the fact he never says how much anything is really puts me off dealing with him.
I have bought from him (did a trade plus cash) and he’s great to deal with. I think he actually prices quite reasonably.

Yes its £3k on the basis Neil doesnt make the Jnr models anymore and its one of Richards iwn guitars that hes moving on due to a recent vintage Jnr purchase meaning hes not desperate or bothered if it goes……

Crikey. I bought one of Neil’s prototypes off him for 600 quid and sold it on here for the same.
