AND SOLD - Gretsch FSR G6136T Limited Crème de Marine Falcon
What's Hot
This is a truly distinctive Falcon. The colour is exquisite and there were only 80 made in this finish, so it's a rare bird indeed.
It's a beautiful instrument, that plays wonderfully. The Filter'Trons are exceptional (as to be expected).
Made in 2014 and in perfect condition.
All the premium G6136T features are here, including late '50s styling on a single-cutaway arch-top hollow body with 1959 trestle bracing, gold-sparkle binding and oversized bound f holes; three-piece maple neck with ebony fingerboard, gold-sparkle binding and Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays; dual High Sensitive Filter'Tron pickups; three-position pickup switch and three-position master tone switch; gold plexi pickguard with falcon motif; Space Control bridge and Bigsby® B6GB vibrato tailpiece; gold-plated Grover® Imperial tuners; and horizontal Gretsch gold-sparkle headstock logo. Includes deluxe hard-shell case.
It's really difficult to capture the colour of this instrument. It's kind of there in the pics but it's more lovely in real life...
Sadly this one has lost its original papers and case candy, but it is a genuine thing. I emailed Gretsch to see whether they could provide a replacement COE, as Fender do but they said no....and confirmed from pics and serial number that it's the gen-u-ine article.
Due to the rareness of the beast, I'm asking £2600. It's worth it. I would prefer collection from Brighton as I'm very nervous sending any item of this value, or could carry nearby (London etc) for the cost of my rail fare. .
