I was thinking of those before.  My parents bought a set and... assaulted our hair with them.  I can still remember exactly how it felt, it didn't so much cut your hair as rip and tear it...

I had the sort of parents who ignored their kids' complaints and opinions, and they didn't give a shit how stupid our hair looked, but the hair trimmers were only used once.

I had one about 20 years ago & the record cleaner ,it used to be the sort of retro stuff I’d pick up at car boots for peanuts, sold it though

I have one and I’ve just inherited my mums too. I don’t use it, but being a seamstress I have a ‘thing’ about sewing ephemera …….

Thanks for the memory , I used to have one of those Roto Kites . Also had a Barnstormer Stunt Kite which were mindblowing at the time. My brother had a Peter Powell Stunt kite which apparently was technically superior but a pain in the arse to get going in anything less than a gale.

I had a Peter Powell Stunt Kite in the '70s.  I bought one recently at a festival - his son is flying the flag (or should that be the kite) these days!  Great fun.
