Certainly a win thrown away again; the Merc strategy of using Bottas to back Raikkonen into Hamilton wouldn’t have worked with both Ferraris in play.  Still, after the accident Vettel got his head down and made an excellent recovery.

I had to laugh at Verstappen whining about the incident with Bottas; “He touched my left rear” indeed.  The boy got off incredibly light with only a 5s time penalty.

In fairness he left although I agree .. Ricciardo's a class act. Vestappen's a selfish twat and an immature driver. He had red mist and lost RB points this afternoon.

Possibly. I think the reason he left is he wants to win a championship (he's good enough) and the only way that will happen is driving for a works team. Even Max admits Red Bull won't be competitive until 2020 or 2021. at the earliest. That's another two wasted years for Ricciardo.

Out of interest what happened to the 'nailed on unsafe release' (Ted Kravitz) from Ferrari at Vetel's stop under the safety car - why didn't Vettel get a penalty?

Vandoorne confirmed as leaving McLaren. Lucky git. No idea if there's a seat for him anywhere else but anything's gotta be better than another year in orange.
