Well that's that then. Have to give some credit to Red Bull on this one in that they appear to have taken it very seriously and done the decent thing in hiring proper independent investigators and not just trying to keep it in-house and/or sweep it under the carpet.

I think it's good that a line is drawn under it before the season has started, whatever the outcome.

While they used an external investigator, it was still an internal process. I would assume that the accuser can now use the external mechanisms if they aren’t happy with the outcome

It's not disappointing if it is the right outcome on the evidence.

But I might just be able to see the chance of disappointment based on a whinging bell end still being on the telly...

As I understand it, the process was:

1.  Red Bull hired an external specialist barrister to conduct an investigation.
2.  The investigator reviewed the evidence, questioned people and produced a report for the board of Red Bull.
3.  The board of Red Bull read the report and decided what action to take.
5.  Red Bull announced “The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed”.

So while the investigation was independent, the final decision remains in-house.

I dont think we can read much into what's been said. 

But it'll be interesting to see if anything else comes out in the next few days, either via Marko or from the accuser

As an employer, RB did exactly the right thing.

The investigation will have cost a small fortune. I'm pleased they appeared to have thrown everything at it.

Meh, I could never see RB sacking him. If he was guilty of anything they would’ve got shot of him instantly, the adverse publicity would’ve been too bad. I suspect the complainant will now get eased out of the team with a nice termination settlement, hard to see how they could stay.

I wish the news sites would list fastest times with the tyres used, otherwise it’s literally pointless in FP sessions. 

Max will still win anyway though

And how long the run it was made on was - being 10th fastest but setting that during a 10 lap run is different to being 10th fasted on a 2 lap sprint
