Hand Carved UK Waltone Jazz Guitar 2HB Master Grade Blonde
What's Hot
Selling my 23 years old Waltone L-5/Benedetto lookalike, a killer jazz guitar, and only doing so as I have 2 of them. They are top quality, and were made in England by now-retired Ken Walton. Top quality woods and workmanship from one pair of hands. He didn't make very many, this being his 25th guitar. I sold my Benedetto after getting my first Waltone. This is the GP or Gary Potter Custom model, 2 x humbuckers like an L-5 or similar. It sounds amazing through an amp and is really light and loud acoustically. Very easy to play, excellent condition. Top grade carved spruce top, solid flamed maple back and sides, 5 pice neck of flamed maple with walnut strips (and rosewood stinger), a bound ebony fingerboard, ebony tailpiece and pickguard, real MOP inlays, great tuners and nice frets (I don't know what the pickups are but they sound nice, like quality Gibson pickups). There is a small cosmetic mark under the lacquer at the edge of the bridge pickup surround which is tiny, and has been there since the guitar was made, it isn't a subsequent knock or event. I had a similar thing, like a small piece of spruce torn slightly next to where it was cut, on an original D'Aquisto. This occasionally can, and does, happen on a handmade guitar. Never bothered me, it's a totally great and cool guitar at a fraction of the price of a factory made instrument. All solid wood, all made by hand, including the bridge and tailpiece, pickguard, etc. Amazing. I'd prefer pickup or meet Newcastle area, you are welcome to try it out. Shipping is possible. Asking £1995.00 please ask for any further info.
