Upgraded speaker to the Jensen P10R and has had the bass resistor bypass mod(easily reversed).

Sorry for the ignorance, but does this mod reduce the bass? I had one of these years ago and couldnt stand how bassy it was. This might be for me if so

   If it's the R34 mod it allows you to turn the bass down which sounds much better. If you like the bass heavy
   sound you can just turn the bass up. Hope this helps.

I did the mod and fitted the speaker. 

The speaker gives the sparkle it misses normally and the resistor bypass extends the range of the bass control so it cuts more than stock
