FS Gibson Collectors Choice #47 Firebird / Gretsch G6120T-55 Vintage Select

Hi Everyone, hope you're all well.

I've bought something super special and need to grudgingly move on some great guitars. So no trades please. 

For sale is this Collectors Choice #47 Firebird III based on an example from 1964

I have owned this from new, purchased from GuitarGuitar in 2019 and, although I have played it a lot in the past 5 years, it hasn't left the house since I brought it home.

The guitar and case are therefore in excellent condition and all of the certification and tags are in the case. 

I paid just under £5k for this cracker back in 2019 as I just had to have it after plugging it in. All three positions have something to offer, which hasn't been the case with other Firebirds I've had, and the volume and tone pots are very responsive. I expected to bypass the vibrato system but I find it every bit as useful as a bigsby and the guitar stays perfectly in tune. 

The neck is on the larger side, I'd say les paul esque, but it's not baseball bat or anything even close to it. Maybe on the smaller side of an R8 neck shape is how I'd describe it. 

Coda had one of these on their site for £5,700 at one point! And new Murphy lab equivalents are 8k ish! 8 grand!! WTF!

Gretsch G6120T-55 Vintage Select

An excellent example from the Vintage Select series, this one crafted in 2018 and bought by me 3 years ago from Jordan Guitars.

It is in excellent condition, there isn't a mark on it. Comes with all of the case candy as pictured (I've re-use some of Jordan Guitars photography as it's way better than mine, I've added some photos of mine so you can see there is not change in the condition of the guitar from when I bought it). The previous owner replaced the brass nut which is in the case.

I'm in Central Scotland near Stirling and will happily drive a couple of hours to deliver or to meet up. I would also package and post the guitar at the buyers expense and risk.

Its a G6118T anniversary model @JodyJames ;. Its the 120th anniversary from 2004 and they cry it “Bamboo Yellow”. She’s a belter
