The one I had was blonde tolex. The wood one you have looks very nice. GLWTS
I'd say the Piggy has more character than the Yamaha, but very well suited to single coils; the Yamaha is fuller sounding and handles the 'buckers, but both sound sweeter than something like a Roland or Peavey, which is why I've kept hold of them. I had a Silver Stripe Studio Pro that was excellent for high gain, but a little icy on cleans.
Both take pedals well and you need one for the Yamaha (I mainly use a JX40 with a Yamaha GW10 pedal for drive).
Might be able to deliver on a day out (when I'm feeling a bit better).
