To be honest, the rest of us were expecting it to be a hol production.

I had a watch briefly in my early teens, but not since then, so about 40 years.

    Naked wrists here !!

I can't stand wearing watches.  I can never get the strap right - they're either too tight and make my wrist sweat under the strap, or too loose and I end up shaking my wrist all day long like a demented Jimmy Savile - jangle jangle.. now then now then.

I do like the design of some of them from an aesthetic point of view, but at the end of the day, I have a clock in the car and on my phone.  I don't need one on my wrist.  I don't really care what time it is - certainly not to that degree.  It's an abstract concept anyway.  Also, wearing a watch is, for me, a sign of slavish obedience to the clock, and I refuse to be tagged or controlled.

  • At one point I thought I was into cool watches, but no longer. I got a Rotary for £200 and thought that was expensive at the time. My friends have Rolex's! I switched to a Casio (the old £5 one) - functional but although I thought it looked cool at the time... it wasn't. I don't wear any watches now. I've got pretty thin wrists anyway. I use my phone for the time.

I haven't worn a watch since 2007. I used to wear a watch, rings and a neck chain. I did wake up one morning and couldn't move my leg (I did end up in hospital......) and haven't worn a watch or any jewellery since.

I do wear a cheap watch when I out fishing, just so I can keep an eye on the time although I can keep time pretty accurately with the position of the sun (not always good in England.....)

Haven't worn a watch in years - used to obsess over them a bit, then for some reason woke up one morning and decided to not put one on.  Haven't worn one since.  I'm surrounded by clocks all day, no reason to strap another one to my wrist.

You wore a watch on your leg? No wonder you ended up in hospital, keep having to bend down to check the time.

No watch, decoration or jewellery of any sort upon my personage. Unless you count a hair bobble (or clothes).

  • If a ever wear a watch I find it catches on everything when I'm working - tbh I find watches a bit of a pain in the arse.

  • I have to wear a watch to work- running a research lab I'm ruled by timers and alarms for my experiments... However, the moment I get home I take it off & leave it with my house keys.

  • I don't need a watch at work. The date & time are always in the top centre of the display on my monitor. There's another monitor next to it, connected to a windoze machine, where the time & date are in the bottom right hand corner.

I don't need a watch in the van. There's a clock on the instrument panel (except that its poxy LEDs and can't be seen in bright sunlight).

I haven't worn a watch in decades. I used to take it off to play guitar (didn't want to scratch my shiny) and always took it off and laid in on the desk at work. So I realised I have the time on a wall clock, the car dash, my mobile phone, my desk phone, my PC/laptop and the need of a watch was almost nil. The only time a watch might be useful is for a sneak look at time during a meeting, otherwise it's a device beyound it's sell by date. I do appreciate the beauty of a good mechanical watch though.

    Oh ...... it's about watches.

I was thinking from the title maybe a whiff of titillation or or even stretching to eroticism, with the vaguest hope of pornographic ................ Hang on a minute though ......  strapped to wrist with a type of bondage, pleasing to look at, hands in constant motion .... I think I can work with this!
