Today's guitar was going to be the EastCoast I posted last week, but it appears that my soldering skills have let it down, it's not producing any noise - so that's a project for the weekend!

Instead today I'm busting out the Harley Benton:

It's going to Feline next week for a bit of a fettle, as some of the frets have sprouted a little bit. While it's there the EMGs are coming out too, and it's getting a HB/P90 from Alegree in their place.
which model harley benton is this and which mods have you done? Looks like a hipshot bridge?

It’s a Fusion III EMG. I’ve changed the knobs and switch tip, replaced the EMG Hot 70 set with a 57/66 set, and replaced the tuners. The originals were fine tbh, but I had a set of Guitar Monkey ones with purple spacers that I wanted to use. The Hot 70s are great too, but I wanted to try the 57/66 set.

Next week it’s getting an Alegree Bentbucker & Murky Horizon P90.

They've only just launched the current range like a week ago so not exactly that model, but the previous almost identical one.

Yes, it’s very similar. The only differences I can see on the mkiV are that the knobs are recessed and the bridge is different. And in answer to @Loobs - mine has the original bridge. I suspect it’s a copy of a Hipshot bridge; there’s no Hipshot logo on it anywhere that I can see.

I’ve had the EastCoast out again today. Despite it being dead when I tried it earlier in the week, nothing was amiss when I took the scratchplate off. I’ve put some tape round all the bare wires, in case it was shorting out somewhere. All seems fine again now.

I haven’t got a new photo since last week, but you only need to look at the previous page :)

Really good. I bought a b-stock and I think it's been dropped or fallen over because the tone pot is very loose and doesn't really do much; setup was good though. The frets felt a little bit scratchy, bit they've settled down with playing. Fit & finish was good, there are a couple of little nicks in the finish on edges of routs, but nothing terrible. And the neck is lovely!

One way to find out. Any reason you wouldn’t go for an SC20h though?

The whole point of this build was to give me the full EL34 50w circuit in the smallest possible shell for easier commuting to practice/gigs on the tube.

@Brio those Rick Graham DK24s look great.

In a change from my usual Telecaster playing I treated myself to a very nice acoustic guitar this week, which has been getting all the play time:

It's a Larrivée DV44-R which basically means it's a dreadnought cutaway with rosewood back and sides in a gloss nitro finish. Fretboard, bridge, and headstock face are ebony and the binding is maple.

It's incredibly resonant and inspiring to play.
I spent yesterday getting the setup to my liking, and today strumming and flatpicking country and bluegrass with a big smile on my face.

It's so loud and responsive it makes my much quieter Furch sound almost toylike in comparison

I had some fun with this one

it's the same model this japanese singer/songwriter (Hiroka Ashiki)
played at the funeral-ceremony of Fujigen Founder Yuichiro Yokouchi
She got it officially gifted by Fujigen the day we had our tour

Playing my newly acquired Les Paul 60’s standard through this rig tonight in the bedroom. Sounds firkin ace man.
Gonna try it out with the band tomorrow night.
That Joyo American sound gotta be one of the bestest, cheapest pedals ever …innit.

@strtdv "Brio those Rick Graham DK24s look great"

The neck is stunning, sounds good and the Gotoh 510 is brilliant. Shell Pink Nitro is a bonus.
Compared with the piece of shit Vintera Roadworn I bought and took back to Andertons the same day it's like it came from a different company.
