Ive spent the last 2 months practicing just with my feet and moob strums for the playing with your teeth bit. About to take the world by storm.
There are plenty of prog rock and metal bands around, but I don't think any prog band will ever hit the mainstream success that some achieved in the 70s. That doesn't mean there won't always be people who want to make and listen to that kind of music.
Same argument applies to "rock is dead", "guitar music is dead" etc.
No it's not, you're just ignorant and most people past a certain age stop seeking out new music and like what they like.
