What’s this tone?

As a tone I really like the intro of this song. The first 40s are some sort of chewy, crunchy thing and I want to replicate it but no bloody idea where to start.

Apparently it’s a Les Paul into a Marshall but not to my ears. Hell, what do I know. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Coil-split LP? Many of them come with coil-split (tap?) these days.

    When they play it live it’s on a Les Paul. But Ray Toro plays like, everything in the studio. Humbuckers, singles, P90s… all of it.
