Scalextric: old style, untested

Brutally honest: this has been in the understairs cupboard untouched for about 20 years. I haven't tested it, I haven't even counted the track pieces, and I have no intention of doing so because too much else going on.

However ... it worked when last put away. From memory one of the (four) controllers might be a bit iffy, and one or two of the cars needed some love, but there was certainly enough functional parts to make a decent two lane circuit, and possibly four lane (I can't remember if I ever got enough of the right kind of curves to do four lane; I know I intended to).

Again from memory the track box includes a couple of cross-over pieces, a hump bridge (low), a long chicane possibly with corner pieces too, and a bunch of different curves, straights, crash barriers, start/finish straight, posh lap-counter start/finish straight (note, this is mechanical and the catch in the track can be a bit brutal at speed!). I think i took the batteries out of the battery bit, but will check just in case they've rotted to mush.

There's the original controllers, plus another pair I picked up clearing out someone else's old set. The original small transformer and a later larger one to handle larger circuits.

So, it ought to all work fine. but I don't have time to set it all up and check it out.
