 This is the stock speaker from my old Fender Princeton 65 RI. It seems to be faulty. It sounded lovely at low volume, but pretty horrible at break up volume.

I don't know what the problem is, it looks absolutely fine. I was going to bin it, but that felt wrong. Lots of clever folk on here that can probably fix it, and it's free if you want to try.

    Edit:  Apologies.  I'm out of the running.  Turns out my existing speaker is quite similar to this one so might be better off leaving it to someone else who needs it more.
