Finger injury with gig coming up

I've managed to stab the tip of index finger on my fretting hand, making it very uncomfortable to play. The wound is a small but deep round hole. Got a gig tomorrow night, and I'm wondering how to manage to get through the gig.

Plasters are a faff and get in the way. Any ideas how to reduce the discomfort so I can play?

Paracetamol, and plastic skin to stop the dirt getting in. There are a couple of products on the market.

This happened to me recently and someone also recommended Paracetamol as opposed to Ibuprofen.  I've always assumed Ibuprofen is stronger so I was a bit confused why only Paracetamol?

What is it about paracetamol that's better in this type of scenario?

A medical friend told me that “ibuprofen is bitching on your stomach”.

single string - fewer notes drone-y leads and 2-note chord voicings. maybe alter the set a bit if there's tricky fingering songs.

for power chords (5ths) fret with thumb over neck or with the fleshy bit between the injured tip and 1st joint.
Personally, I've never been able to get through a whole gig with meds.

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflamitory, so it's better for muscle pains and the like.
