Holy crap. This beauty arrived this afternoon, all the way from Van Daal Electronics in Estonia – and it's just glorious. All I've done so far is hook it up to my Micromonsta, dialled in a few modest string patches and gently ambled about the keyboard one finger at a time but… bloody hell! It would be very easy to get lost in there, just gently nudging the controls while it swooshes and warbles. I might even try it on guitar tomorrow and see if it sounds as good!

The only problem is the size of the bugger - it's about twice as big as I was expecting - so I'm going to have to reorganise my desk at the weekend!

It works with incandescent light bulbs and light dependent resistors (LDR). This combination makes it interesting, phasing is not linear, freq resonance peaks vary and this creates a very playful phasing effect.

I imagine that sounds fabulous. Enjoy!
