Great alternative to Audacity

I have struggled with Audacity for years for occasional bits of direct audio editing and had a look for an alternative and found something that seems much, much better called Ocenaudio.

https://www.ocenaudio.com/

My use is just for casual chopping up audio files and it does it with way less problem than Audacity for me. Some really nice options too.

Just putting it out there in case anyone else dislikes Audacity.

Thanks this will come in handy.
I wish they had an Android app though.

beware these free audio editors can come with a bag of adware crap. I've not idea about this one but I've had a bad experience in the past getting rid of adware artifacts

I've just had a play, seems ok at first glance. No adware. The interface looks better than the 1990s Windows look of Audacity.

Does that do click & pop removal? Could not find anything suitable in the effects menu, although it might be under a different name. There is a dedicated option for DC removal – in fewer clicks than Audacity.

Nope, that's general noise reduction. Pop and click rejection are very specific to vinyl ripping or, in my case, sampling :yum:
